Bio

Patricia (Trish) Cassidy is an expert in health system strategy, managed care/ value-based care, enterprise-wide service line market share growth, and ambulatory/ outpatient strategies.

In Trish's role as an XCO Partner, she brings a vast array of expertise drawn from her 30+ years of experience leading, changing, and building some of our nation's largest health systems. For nearly a decade, she was the EVP and Chief Strategy Officer at AMITA Health. She led the enterprise strategy that evolved AMITA from an Alexian Brothers-Adventist Midwest Health joint venture, consolidating three health systems to become the 19-hospital AMITA network serving markets throughout Chicago. She led outpatient facility construction, expanding reach into suburban Chicago locations. And she oversaw AMITA's Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) and Medicare ACO which earned more than $50 million in shared savings in its first three years of operation. In 2018, she was an executive on the team that expanded AMITA with the acquisition and integration of Presence Health. This included a major project focused on the right-sizing and re-sizing of the entire network of AMITA hospitals. Prior to Trish's role at AMITA, she spent 22 years at Loyola University Health System (LUHS, now named Loyola Medicine), serving as Interim President of Loyola University Medical Center, President of Loyola's Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and SVP of Strategy for LUHS. More recently, Trish is associated with Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgical Associates (CTVSA) in Chicago, helping to drive growth initiatives, strategic planning and partner relationships.

Trish holds an honorary appointment on the faculty of Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and is a co-course director at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois and received her MBA from Loyola University Chicago. In 2018, Trish was named by Crain's as one of Chicago's Notable Women in Healthcare, and she was previously named by Becker's Hospital Review as one of the top healthcare strategists in the United States.

In 2021, Trish joined the Strategy Advantage team as an XCO Partner. In this role, she is available as a 1:1 executive-to-executive partner for leaders changing healthcare.
