Bio

Nancy Jensen is a healthcare marketer, branding and re-branding specialist and an expert in digital communications, crises management/communications, and destination medical center marketing.

In Nancy's role as an X∙CO Partner, she brings extensive expertise and proven healthcare marketing impact evidenced by her distinguished career at some of our nation's most highly ranked healthcare organizations. For 3 years, Nancy was the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO) at UCLA Health, where she designed data-driven marketing and communications programs to advance strategic growth priorities for the health system, the David Geffen School of Medicine, and Mattel Children's Hospital. For nearly a decade, she was the Division Chair of Public Affairs for Mayo Clinic in Florida, where she directed marketing and public affairs strategies for Mayo in the Southeastern United States, Latin American markets, and for its Cancer service line nationally. She also directed the Mayo Clinic Care Network (MCCN) member affiliation marketing and branding initiatives throughout the Southeast. Also, for 4 years at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, she was the Communications Director, overseeing strategies to evolve M.D. Anderson's brand from a regional Cancer Center to a national clinical and research powerhouse. Additionally, while Director of the Medical Center News Office at Duke University Medical Center for 6 years, Nancy developed external strategies to position Duke as a leader in national and international healthcare.

As an X∙CO expert partner, in 2019 Nancy served as a Marketing expert, working side-by-side with executives and physicians at Children's Hospital Los Angeles to develop a Center for Global Health Marketing Action Plan.

Nancy received her bachelor's degree in journalism and her master's degree in hospital administration, public health and communication, both from the University of Washington.

In 2019, Nancy joined the Strategy Advantage team as an X∙CO Partner. In this role, she is available as a 1:1 executive-to-executive consulting partner for leaders changing healthcare.
