Kristopher (Kris) Kitz is an expert in health system strategy, business development, ambulatory growth, retail health, and developing and activating joint ventures, acquisitions and affiliations.
In Kris' role as an X∙CO Partner, he brings deep expertise and proven experience drawn from his various executive-level roles in Pacific Northwest health systems. For nearly a decade, he directed strategy, business development and ambulatory clinic operations, and then he became VP of Retail Health & Strategic Partnerships at MultiCare Health System, based in Tacoma, Washington. In this role, he oversaw the largest network of urgent care clinics in the state of Washington and provided enterprise-wide oversight for virtual health, occupational medicine, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Additionally, for 3 years, Kris was the VP/ Chief Strategy Officer at PeaceHealth's Oregon Region where he oversaw strategy, business development, service line management, virtual health and telemedicine. While there, his work led to a children's services partnership with Providence Portland Medical Center, orthopedics partnerships in the region, cardiovascular and neurosciences growth, development of a regional patient placement and transfer center, and a first-class sales/outreach team responsible for driving tertiary cases.
Earlier in his career, Kris held positions at Seattle Children's Hospital, Olympic Medical Center, and the Washington State Hospital Association.
As an X∙CO expert partner, in 2019 Kris supported Skyline Hospital, based in Washington, providing interim leadership and operational assessment services. Also, in 2020 he was an expert partner supporting development of an Enterprise Ambulatory Strategy for Inspira Health, based in New Jersey.
Kris received his bachelor's degree in business administration and his master's degree in healthcare administration, both from the University of Washington. He is a guest lecturer at the University of Washington and serves on many community service and academic leadership boards. Recently, he became a board member for the Cowitz Indian Tribe Planning Commission.
In 2018, Kris joined the Strategy Advantage team as an X∙CO Partner. In this role, he is available as a 1:1 executive-to-executive partner for leaders changing healthcare.
